Raoul de Charette is a researcher of the Astra Team at Inria Paris, where he leads the Astra-Vision group focusing on robust visual scene understanding. His research interests are on interpretable scene understanding with less supervision and how to adapt vision algorithms to the open-world using additional priors. He obtained his PhD in 2012 from Mines Paris (France) and before Inria also worked at Carnegie Mellon Univ. (USA) and Univ. Of Makedonia (Greece). His research appears in all the top-tier conferences and journals of the field and got rewarded with several best papers awards and grants. He is also a PR[AI]RIE Fellow and ELLIS member.
